Platform kits are made to order and therefore cannot be returned for a full refund. If there is an issue with your kit, please contact us directly and we will work diligently with you to find a solution!
Black hex
Black hex is now an optional add-on for both the drawer fronts and the top platform. This material offers additional durability, wear resistance, and a more rugged overall appearance.
Robust drawer system
Two integrated drawers span the length of your trunk to provide seamless storage and organization. These drawers include 3 removable dividers, slides rated to 250 lbs, and anti-rattle and key locking metal latches. Option to add bamboo work surfaces/false tops to each drawer for an easily accessible, rigid workspace whenever you need it.
Sleep comfortably
The sleeper section is made up of two modular components, which split 60/40 to match the vehicle's second row backrests. Hinged extensions span over the second row footwell to provide abundant platform length (most vehicles well over 6 feet). Supports under each piece are cut to match the angles of your vehicle, which guarantees a level sleeping surface and maximizes storage underneath.
Don't lose the commuter
Need your daily driver back after the long camp weekend? No problem. Easily remove the sleeper section in seconds when you need the second row for backseat passengers. The sleeper can be stored in your trunk or fully removed from your vehicle when not in use.
How you'll get your build
Option 1: Shipped flat pack to your door
Components and carpet (if applicable) are pre-cut, holes are pre-drilled, and all necessary hardware are packaged and organized. Detailed assembly instructions are included and we're easily reachable if any questions come up.
Option 2: Local install at our shop in Colorado
We'll handle the full assembly and install and walk you through how everything works with your new build. Standard installs typically take roughly 45 minutes.
Platform Kit FAQ
What are Work Surfaces?
Work Surfaces, also referred to as "false tops" rest on top of the drawers and provide a convenient, easy-access surface for you to cook, food prep, or organize your pack for the day. They are made of half inch thick bamboo plywood and come treated with a food-grade mineral oil for extra protection. Work Surfaces are not drawer specific-- one of them can be used on either drawer!
What is the Sleeper Section?
The Sleeper Section secures to the back edge of the drawer system and rests on top of the folded backrests of the 2nd row seats. It comes as two fully removable sections which are either split 60/40 or 50/50 to match the configuration of the 2nd row backrests. Most designs come with Hinged Extensions which span over the footwell of the 2nd row and provide an even longer sleeping space.
Are the drawer dividers removable?
Yes! The drawer dividers are fully removable to make room for any larger gear that you'd like to store. Each drawer comes standard with 3 removable dividers.
How much does the full build weigh?
Platform kits for our smaller vehicles are in the range of 130-150 lbs, and for larger vehicles are in the range of 140-170 lbs. No more than carrying an extra passenger!
Will I still have access to my spare tire?
If your spare tire is stored underneath the trunk floor, all you will need to do is remove the 4 turnbuckles that hole the drawer frame in place (no tools required) then push the drawer system forward and out of the way to access the spare underneath. Certain vehicles may require a 10mm wrench as well.

Can I add on the Sleeper Section or Work Surfaces at a later date?
Yes, absolutely. Start with just the drawers if you'd like and you can always add the Sleeper and/or Work Surfaces down the line.
Why is the Camp Kitchen Slideout not an option for my vehicle?
The Camp Kitchen Slideout is only available on our larger drawers that have enough depth to accommodate while still having sufficient storage space up top.
Is it easy to remove the entire platform setup from my vehicle?
Yes, removing the entire setup is very straightforward. Depending on the vehicle, you will either need to unscrew a couple turnbuckles (no tools necessary) or unscrew a few bolts using a socket wrench. From there, you can remove the drawers, drawer frame, and sleeper section in a matter of seconds.
Will I still be able to use my second row seats with the platform installed?
Yes! Our modular platform design allows you to remove the sleeper section of the platform and maintain access to the backseats without having to remove the trunk drawer system. You can either store these front sections in the trunk, or fully remove them from your vehicle when you're not camping and don't need them.
What's the benefit of a platform, can't I just lay a mattress down flat?
There are two main benefits of having a sleeper platform - 1) perfectly level sleeping area that extends over the passenger footwells, and 2) increased storage space and better organization in your vehicle. SUVs will fill up real quick when packed with all your camp stuff and additional gear. Our platform design makes it easy to maximize your storage space, so you don't have to completely unload your vehicle when you're ready to snooze.
